Fourth Keeling Curve Prize Evaluations Begin with Additional Expertise

The recent deadline for the 4th annual Keeling Curve Prize (KCP) produced around 400 applications – an encouraging sign given the global pandemic crisis we have been experiencing together. Our talented team of Analysts have already begun reviewing submissions to help determine this year’s 20 Finalists.

Astrid Rahardjo, Damiana Serafini, and Kevin Auerbacher

Contributing their expertise for this cycle are two international professionals in climate and development, Astrid Rahardjo and Damiana Serafini. Currently based in South Korea, Astrid works at the Green Climate Fund as a Regional Analyst supporting countries in gaining access to climate finance. Damiana brings more than 18 years of experience in sustainable fuels and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires (ITBA). "I am delighted to be working with the wonderful team of professionals at KCP,” said Damiana. “It is quite an honour to get the first view at projects that will transform our world into an environmentally conscious and socially just society."

We also welcome a new Judge this year, Kevin Auerbacher. Judges select the 10 Keeling Curve Prize Laureates from the pool of Finalists. Kevin serves as Managing Counsel at Tesla, Inc. and has previously worked with the US Environmental Protection Agency as Senior Counsel for Energy and Transportation. “As someone that has spent a career in private and public work that impacts the environment,” said Kevin, “I am excited to contribute to GWMP and the organization’s important work.”

We are pleased to expand our Sphere network with these dedicated leaders and look forward to sharing this year’s Finalists with all of you!
