Megan Walkenhorst
Development and Communications Fellow
My name is Megan Walkenhorst and I graduated in May with a M.S. in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy from the University of Minnesota. I completed my master's as part of an early admissions program, so I completed a B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management and a minor in Chemistry in May of 2022. I decided to pursue a graduate degree to learn to apply my technical knowledge in a way that would directly help those who are affected by climate change. Prior to this experience, I completed several corporate/research environmental internships, so I decided to apply for this fellowship to gain nonprofit experience. I hope to work on climate change policy at a nonprofit or think tank in the future. I am excited about this opportunity to learn about climate-related nonprofits and apply my skills to an important area within the climate space.
