Nikolai Braedt
Data Archiving Fellow
I’m Nikolai Braedt, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as an intern with the Educated Choices Program as a Constellations Fellow. Currently, I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in conservation biology with a minor in data science in Hilo, Hawai’i.
Since my childhood, my passions have consistently revolved around the outdoors and the life it sustains. I grew up in a small town in northern Idaho which resulted in countless days of backpacking, skiing and mountain biking. These experiences formed a deep-seated appreciation for the outdoors that has grown into a passion for the preservation of natural ecosystems.
My enthusiasm for the environment has since evolved into a devotion to tropical terrestrial and marine conservation here on Hawai’i island where the impact of the changing environment is unmistakable. I am thrilled to persist in my contributions to sustainability and the protection of ecosystem communities by being a Constellations Fellow under the Global Warming Mitigation Project, where I can make a meaningful impact on our planet's future.
