Position Description: 

Role Overview: As a Communications and Social Media Intern, you will support us in spreading its message, engaging with the community, and building its online presence. You'll work closely with the communications team to create content, manage social media platforms, and help raise awareness about the organization's mission and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, images, videos, and stories that align with the Organization's brand and message.
•Social Media Management: Monitor and manage the ORGANIZATION’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), including posting updates, responding to comments, and interacting with followers.
•Campaign Support: Help plan and execute social media campaigns that promote the ORGANIZATION’s initiatives, events, and key messages.
•Analytics and Reporting: Track the performance of social media posts and campaigns using analytics tools, and help create reports to measure success and suggest improvements.
•Newsletter and Email Marketing: Assist in drafting content for newsletters, email campaigns, and other communication materials to keep supporters informed and engaged.
•Research and Trends: Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices to recommend new ways for the ORGANIZATION to connect with its audience.
•Community Engagement: Engage with the online community by responding to inquiries, sharing relevant content, and building relationships with supporters and partners.


Desired Qualifications: 

Strong interest in social media, communications, and digital marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinking and ability to generate fresh content ideas.
Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Basic understanding of social media analytics and tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics) is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.


Time Commitment:  30 hours/week
