Position Description: 

As a Graphic Designer Intern at Kelp Blue, you will be an integral part of our marketing team, responsible for creating visually compelling content that communicates our mission and brand values. This role will entail designing a wide range of visual assets, including digital content for social media, websites, and online campaigns, as well as print materials such as brochures, flyers, and posters.

You will collaborate closely with the marketing team and other commercial team members to ensure that all visual content aligns with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives. Your work will play a key role in enhancing our brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms, and engaging our audience through creative and innovative designs.

In this role, you will also be involved in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts for marketing campaigns, and you will have the opportunity to see your ideas come to life. Additionally, you’ll manage and organize our library of design assets, ensuring that all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible for the team.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. You will be empowered to take initiative, bring fresh ideas to the table, and contribute significantly to the visual storytelling of Kelp Blue.


Desired Qualifications: 

Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Design Software Proficiency: Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Design Principles: Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, including digital and print work, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess the impact of visual content and make data-driven design decisions.
Results-Driven: Focus on creating visuals that effectively communicate our message and achieve marketing objectives.
Innovation & Creativity: An innovative and creative thinker, capable of generating fresh design ideas, methods, and technologies that align with our mission.
Communication & Feedback: Excellent communication skills and the ability to take and incorporate constructive feedback.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with external partners and internal teams across production, market development, and sales.
Web Design Knowledge: Basic knowledge of web design and experience with tools like Figma or Sketch is a plus.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
