Fellowship Description:

Introduction:

Are you ready to drive high-value change in an environmental startup dedicated to reducing GHG emissions? Symbrosia is excited to offer a dynamic 12-week internship for MBA students looking to create quick, dramatic impact or dip their toes in the startup scene. This opportunity is not just about contributing to ongoing projects; it's a deep dive into the future of two main business strategies, their financial implications, and the bridging of innovation to make them happen. Ideal for those passionate about the bridge between technology and business, this internship will offer a remote experience and the chance to be part of a team pioneering new technologies. Through this internship, you will learn what it's like to be a core team member at a fast-growing startup in the climate sector and how seaweed can help us solve some of the world's largest problems.



Responsibilities:

Orientation (Week 1): Kickstart your internship with an extensive orientation to understand Symbrosia's mission and methodologies. Engage with key literature, establish valuable team connections, and familiarize yourself with our technology and research approach.
Research and Strategy Framing (Weeks 2-4): Play a crucial role in setting up and conducting a work plan for the project at hand. You'll learn and apply new theories, develop strategies for early development opportunities, and grow your network.
Execute (Weeks 5 - 10): After developing the strategy, time to execute! Work collaboratively with the Symbrosia team to complete a number of objectives to implement the desired project.
Synthesize and Share (Weeks 11-12): Your journey culminates in the analysis and compilation of your findings and output. Collaborate with the team for feedback, refine your findings, and present final output to the team.


Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an MBA program, preferably with a focus on Business Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or Sustainable Business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Eagerness to learn new techniques and concepts, and to apply them in a practical research setting.
Experience with financial modeling and business strategy development.
Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Genuine interest in environmental sustainability and innovation.
Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and contributing to impactful projects.


Time Commitment: 15-30 hours/ week
