Ebb Carbon is a climate and ocean restoration company. We remove legacy carbon dioxide emissions from the air by accelerating the ocean’s natural ability to capture and store carbon. In the process, we also reduce ocean acidity–one of the biggest problems facing the ocean today. Our method has the potential to be one of the largest scale and lowest cost approaches to removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Fellowship Description:

Ebb Carbon is seeking a Policy and Market Development intern to work with our Director of Policy & Market Development in support of our Go To Market strategy.

The ideal candidate will bring climate-policy and/or climate-technology deployment experience, a tolerance for uncertainty and is driven to find new and innovative approaches in pursuit of making a real impact on climate change.

As the Policy and Market Development Intern, you’ll gain experience in the following areas:

- Gain breadth and depth of knowledge of policy developments in carbon markets, permitting novel technologies and climate technology incentives.

- Policy analysis for climate technology deployment across State, Federal and International

- Support the development of new policy and business initiatives

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

- Direct experience with energy and/or environmental policy is preferred

- Direct experience working with legislators either at the local, state or federal level is preferred

- Experience working with climate technologies, especially in a go-to-market function is preferred

- Strong written communication skills

- Strong analytical skills

- Self-starter, solutions oriented

- Thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment

- Enthusiastic about deploying climate solutions

Time Commitment: 20-30 hours / week
