Program Coordinator Fellow


About the Organization:


Our Climate empowers young people to advocate for the science-based, equitable and intersectional climate justice policies that build a thriving world. We engage and train youth from affected communities and groups to participate in broad and diverse advocacy coalitions. Together, we build deep partnerships, mobilize, and center those most impacted by climate change to dismantle systemic oppression and achieve systemic change.

Fellowship Description:


Overview: The Program Coordinator will assist with the planning, implementation, and growth of Our Climate’s mental health programming, ‘Resilience as Resistance.’

Responsibilities:

Strategy
Assist the Resilience as Resistance team in idea creation and development in their growing program.
Design project proposals for future RAR events.
Analyze and provide a detailed overview of the Q2 and Q3 priorities and goals.
Meet with State organizers to discuss the status of their state-level RAR efforts.
Support state organizers to reach their Q2 and Q3 goals.
Assist in the development of RAR’s large-scale projects.
Event Management
Support the 2024 scheduling of Q2 and Q3 projects.
Research, interview and book facilitators who align with our mission and goals for the 2024 workshops and climate conversations.
Draft Q2 and Q3’s event timelines and task deadlines to keep RAR timely in the completion of projects.
Outreach
Secure sponsorships with local and national vendors for inKind donations
Research 2024 Outreach trends and successful practices and design a plan for the Q2 and Q3 plans.
Connect with Current Partners and Influencers and continue to grow a network of new influencers and partnerships.


Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:
We’re seeking candidates who are collaborative, results-oriented, forward thinking, and dedicated to our mission.They will resonate with our organizational culture values and be dedicated to advancing equity. In addition to these “must haves”, candidates should demonstrate the following:
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Proven ability to take initiative, effectively manage multiple projects at once to produce high-quality results, delegate tasks when working on collaborative projects, and manage across the organization.
Excels in collaborative working environments.
Commitment to Our Climate’s mission.


Time Commitment: 10-15 hours / week
