Stand.earth Research Group
Research Fellow, Amazon Banks Database
About the Organization:
Stand.earth is a global advocacy organization delivering large-scale change for our planet and its people by interrupting the systems that create environmental and climate crises. Our mission is to challenge corporations and governments to treat people and the environment with respect. Our worldwide community advocates for a climate-safe, equitable future, where environmental and climate justice policies uphold the dignity of people everywhere—at the scale our world requires. The Stand.earth Research Group supports the global community of philanthropists, advisors, and strategists with cutting-edge investigative research to create breakthroughs in climate advocacy campaigns around the world.
The Research Intern will support the Amazon Banks Database and Mapping Project, which includes Stand.earth Research Group's public database of banks financing oil and gas in the Amazon, as well as our ongoing policy and spatial analysis. The role will support literature review, data entry, and will be mentored in database design and maintenance. There are several facets to this work, and the final set of tasks will be based on skill set, timing, and interest.
