Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Daniel Young is the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Global Warming Mitigation Project, working to further innovative climate solutions through the power of storytelling. Daniel was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at The University of Southern Mississippi. There he found his calling, bringing his love for multimedia storytelling to impact driven missions in the nonprofit sector. He began his career leading marketing and communications for United Way of South Mississippi and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation. He and his wife eventually moved west to Boise, Idaho where he served as the Brand and Communications Manager for The Peregrine Fund, a global raptor conservation organization. Having an unyielding passion for the wonders of nature, he has committed himself to utilizing his abilities and experience to protect our natural world, which ultimately led him to the Global Warming Mitigation Project.

While Boise, Idaho is still his “homebase”, he, his wife, and dog live and work full-time from their camper van exploring the vast public lands of North America.
