Joe Blair is Co-Founder & General Partner at Bay Bridge Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage climate technology startups. Joe has spent the last 15 years of his career building and investing in the climate technology space. Over the past 10 years, Joe has invested in more than 30 early or mid-stage startups while at firms like Obvious Ventures, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, and Cota Capital. Prior to his career in venture capital, Joe was an engineer with the energy performance contracting division of a Fortune 500 company and then with a venture-backed climate tech startup. Joe graduated with a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Joe's Master’s Thesis was building software to control plasma inside a nuclear fusion reactor, through which he had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the world's foremost nuclear science experts at General Atomics and the U.S. Department of Energy.
