Michele (Chele) Swaby is a junior Public Relations major, English minor currently studying at Howard University in Washington, D.C. A long time creative writer specializing in fiction and poetry, Michele channels her passion for words and literature into her public relations work. Previously interning as a marketing analysis intern and fundraising strategy intern, Michele currently serves as a college ambassador for the student accommodation service AmberStudent. In these roles, Michele has used her creativity, design, and analytical skills to complete her assigned tasks. In the future, Michele wants to begin a career as a public relations or communications specialist before transitioning to a career as an editor for a publishing company or news agency. Michele’s interests outside of communications include literature, gender equality, social equity, fashion/sustainable clothing, and content creation.
