Laurel Cherrier

Laurel graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Maine School of Law and received her Master's in Public Policy with a dual concentration in National Security and Environmental Policy from George Mason University. During this time, Laurel focused signficantly on the effects climate change have on national security, and, specifically, studied how climate change will impact relations between the United States and Russia. She is currently completing her Master's in Communication with a concentration in Public and Media Relations from Johns Hopkins University. Laurel is an experienced federal lobbyist with an expertise in animal welfare, natural resources, environmental policy, and national security. Beyond her professional pursuits, Laurel enjoys teaching dance and spending time with her rescue pit bull, Kalani.
