About the Organization

Wastezon is redefining the future of urban mining by innovating for materials circularity. To live in a waste-free world, we must establish traceability systems to valorize and reuse materials. Our integrated solution consists of Wastezon 2.0, a digital marketplace for quality-vetted second-hand electronics, and WastezonX, a web app that provides manufacturers with traceability and reverses logistics services. So far, over 600 tons of electronic materials have been transacted on the Wastezon app, diverting an equivalent amount of over 3100 tons of carbon emissions

Fellowship Description:

As we scale our products and business offerings, we seek a Business Development Fellow to work closely with the CEO to develop business strategies that align with our mission of creating a waste-free world. The Fellow will work with the CEO and other executive team members to collect industry insights and develop business strategies and their relevant roadmaps that allow the company to achieve the desired success.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating with the executive team to write and develop business proposals and identify and build business partnerships in alignment with proposed initiatives.
Leveraging internal and external business data to develop business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
Conduct strategies performance analysis and liaise with the team to develop relevant solutions.
Maintaining and sharing professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.

Qualifications:

0-2 years of experience in business development, market research, business strategies, or other similar fields
Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field (Year 3-4 undergraduate students are also accepted).
Exposure to analytical and reporting tools, including Tableau, Google spreadsheets, Google Analytics, and Data Studio.
Good communication skills and people management experience.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
