About the Organization:

A grassroots alliance with headquarters in Jalpan de Serra, Querétaro, a quiet federally protected area known s the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. The strategy is based on civil, pubic and private sector participation in protection and restoration of the living landscape.

Fellowship Description:

There is a big story and many levels for a series of storylines, almost 4 decades of a local grassroots organization following a strategic plan with a local group of passionate citizens and a rural society formed with the Environmental Education, community development, recycling, microenterprise 80% run by women, responsible rural tourism, public policy for regenerating forests facing the hard truth of climate change and water scarcity in 2023.

Qualifications:

Writing skills in Spanish primarily, English as a necessary outlet. Photography, layout and communication strategy skills.
Accustomed to working with a team, flexible to work within the project and where needed.

Time Commitment: 30 hours/ week
