Website Development Fellow


About the Organization:

The Educated Choices Program (ECP) is a 501(c)3 academic program that educates teens and adults through digital presentations about the impact of their food choices on their health, the environment, and all those that inhabit it. ECP’s digital programs are currently expanding, offering professionally narrated videos and additional learning materials to secondary and post-secondary educators, as well as community audiences.

Position Description: 

1) Use Wix to develop a highly visually-appealing and accessible website as a resource to support our curriculum work. Collaborate with departments for best-practice design options.
2) Work with managers and directors of multiple departments to organize content based on age, topic, and resource type (such as recipes, book recommendations, etc).
3) Navigate other website tasks as assigned, such as SEO optimization.
Position Goals:
Goal 1: Advance knowledge of website and resource portal development. Practical experience in website development in the nonprofit and educational sectors.
Goal 2: Opportunity to learn time management, communication, and collaboration skills in remote workplaces.
Goal 3: Further development of the organization.


Desired Qualifications:

Experience in creating effective websites required. Must be able to provide examples with application.
Experience with Wix preferred but not required if experience is demonstrated on other platforms. Must be willing to and interested in learning Wix.
High organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written communication and teamwork skills.
Interest in nonprofit, education, environment, or health-related issues preferred.
Currently enrolled in a college or university program (or recently graduated as far back as May 2025).

At least 10 hours per week of availability. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Operational computer with reliable internet.

Basic understanding of Google Workspace.

Ability to pass a background check.

Legally authorized to work in country of residence.


Time Commintment: About 10 hours/week
