Fellowship Description:
We are seeking a motivated Environmental Data Science Intern to support our team in analyzing and reporting environmental data. This role will focus on leveraging data science techniques to optimize our aquaculture operations, assess environmental impacts, and contribute to our sustainability initiatives.
Analyze and interpret large datasets, including environmental data, aquaculture production, and methane reduction data.
Perform statistical analyses and predictive modeling to optimize aquaculture practices and sustainability initiatives.
Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to the team and stakeholders.
Conduct literature reviews and analyze findings related to regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Assist in preparing regulatory reports and assessments, ensuring all activities meet environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (preferably R & Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong research skills with experience in conducting literature reviews and synthesizing information from academic, governmental, and industry sources.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized reports and summaries.
Passion for sustainability, environmental policy, and climate change solutions.
Time Commitment: 30 hours / week
