Strategic Foresight, Autodesk
Natalia Vasquez's work focuses on climate action in response to possible futures. Currently at technology leader Autodesk, she researches and anticipates possible climate scenarios to advise Autodesk's Climate Investments, Impact, and Merger & Acquisitions groups.
Prior to Autodesk, she co-built innovation firm IDEO's climate practice, where she advised multinational Fortune 500 companies, investors and startups on maximizing their impact through strategy and product design, and led a multi-year COP presence. She has collaborated with groups like Closed Loop Partners and The Rockefeller Foundation to create over a dozen sustainability accelerators and prizes, evaluating hundreds of emerging organizations. Natalia has been involved in climate issues since 2010, working for the Department of Energy's early electric vehicle coalition building, The Nature Conservancy, and UN-funded clean technology projects in Asia. She served on the South Pacific delegation to COP20 and as a Youth Delegate to the Global Climate Action Summit.
As an artist, Natalia creates large-scale immersive installations for people to viscerally step into possible future climate scenarios, sparking reflection and action. Her artistic work has been installed at COP28 in Dubai, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Circular Economy Summit in London, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and the 2025 San Francisco Climate Week headquarters.
Natalia is a frequent speaker, university lecturer, and writer on climate innovation. Her ideas and work have been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, and FastCompany's World Changing Ideas Award.
