Zak Accuardi

Transportation Advocate, Natural Resources Defense Council

Zak Accuardi is a Los Angeles-based urban sustainability policy and strategy expert. He advised city governments on transportation policy and project implementation with the Natural Resources Defense Council, as part of the American Cities Climate Challenge. Previously, as a transportation and sustainability consultant he has worked with organizations ranging from Project Drawdown to transportation technology companies to the World Bank's Cities and Climate Change group. At the civic philanthropy TransitCenter he led practice-oriented research and technical assistance projects focused on new mobility options, increasing transit ridership, and transit data policy, among other topics. He has a BS in environmental engineering from Columbia University and an MS in Technology and Policy from MIT.
